Amongst a community in turmoil, I decided what we needed was... Love period.

In the summer of 2020, Atlanta ignited with protests over a string of deaths at the hands of police. With heightened levels of hate vibrating through the community, I decided to take action. As a cyclist I organized a bike ride as an expression of unity.

While organizing the “Unity” ride, a simple design came to me and it was a heart with a period beside it. I felt like this design would make a statement. A statement about what the city of Atlanta needed - Love.

This symbol resonated deeply, and our Unity ride drew over 800 participants, leading to the creation of Decide Brand. With so many participants from all over the state, country and world I decided to string the heart period (love period) design through Atlanta forward designs that tourist and locals end up loving.

This story born amongst public turmoil describes why I have shown up everyday since, deciding to choose love and accept and show love to those who visit Atlanta. My hope is that however you choose to express it, that we may always serve as a reminder to #LovePeriod.
